lead self to lead people

We are all leaders because we lead one of the most, if not the most, difficult person in the face of this planet, ourselves! Every human behavior is a reflection of our own. Behaviors we observe in our followers, we may still have them as well. In NLP terms, our projections are people perceptions. How we behave will birth in others (our observers)  their respective perceptions on us…for better or for worse!

Lead our ‘selves’ by:

Be Aware of our thinking which ultimately translates into our behaviors. Constantly ask for others’ feedback on our ideas, our language and behaviors; and improve from that.

Be Willing to Accept and Change when feedback is justified especially from people we trust. It shortens our learning curve and we improve faster.

Be Open to the idea that we are all work in progress. A journey that takes time and with lots of fumbles and mistakes. Never repeat the same mistakes twice.

Apply these ideas and make them stick. These will change the ways we think, feel and behave. These will change our leadership styles. Our followers will be the first to see the difference in us as leaders. Make it worth and make it work!
